The Wishing Season

Our world keeps pushing us apart, keeps us focusing on things instead of people, on segregation instead of unity, on cocooning instead of socializing, on the individual instead of the family.

But life is all circles, circles that keep bringing us back to where we started. With tragedy, we come together again, and we catch glimpses of what could be. When we ail, we seek out the comfort of others in one form or another. With death, we regroup. Although we often need seclusion to unwind and revitalize, we search for interaction... to heal. Addicts come together in groups to vent on each other and find solace in having those around us who relate to our situations.

The breaking down of the family unit and the destroying of positive social networks are two of the key reasons our world is crumbling. United we stand, divided we fall.
