Quite a few photos uploaded tonight - simply because my hard drive is filling up faster than I can get them web-ready. I am only taking the camera on my walks every second night or so now, at least until I can catch up!
Tiles on the outside entrance to an apartment building in the West End.

Pillars in the external courtyard of another apartment building...

Back Alley Wineworks.... my pal Murray's shop / laboratory... yes, he is an evil genius, but without the evil...

Got the blues, and got 'em bad....

A blue phase is approaching again... perhaps it's the musty shadow of an approaching winter that twists me so.

The Steps of Fall Are Advancing...

The air is crisp at eve, the light sharp and diffused at once. The combination is a delicious snap to the brain and soul.
Perhaps my eyes also caught a glimpse of Halloween to come... this is actually part of the street address for Lord Nelson School in the West End... 1666 Comox.

Old houses continually amuse and romance my brain. Many of my favourite house muses live on Nicola Street.

A Summer Held Hostage

There are too many individual variables with what makes a great summer. It wasn't one for me. There seemed to be less heat and sun than usual, and what there was tended to fall during the work week rather than on weekends. Plus, we've had the city workers on strike, causing garbage to pile up and recreational centres to close. The positive side is that it looks like Fall will be beautiful.

Still fascinated with the autumn light at dusk these days...

... and the amazing sunflowers down at English Bay. The combination of the setting sun with streetlamps sparkling on for the first time of the day... is inspiring.
